Drusy Jewelry
A drusy is one of the wonders of nature! Drusies came about because years ago, molten rock being pushed to the surface of the earth's crust formed gases that resulted in cavities inside the rock. Later, ground water with silica seeped inside the porous cavities and sparkling crystals formed. These rocks with crystalline structures are know as drusies ( sometimes spelled druzy or druse).
SOLDSkating on Thick IceSOLD
A large center drusy (druzy) is the focal point for this bracelet made of sterling silver, dendrite opal, ocean jasper, and druzies. The little faceted rondelles with their translucent look are ocean jasper, the ovals are dendrite opal, and besides the focal drusy, there is a drusy on each side of the toggle clasp, a very sturdy toggle clasp by the way. One of our favorite seashell charms hangs beside the toggle clasp also. A nice chunky bit of jewelry drusy for your collection, one that will go with many things in your closet, and add a bit of sparkle as well.

SOLDScintillaSOLD
Another pair of drusy earrings that will also match the "Fawne" drusy bracelet since the earrings are made of those greyish-mauve oval drusies. The drusy beads here are very white looking crystals (the picture is fairly good); the backs are smooth. These drusy earrings have a cabochon onyx set below them and a pleated sterling Karen Hill Tribes bead above. The sterling earwires have one bead as decoration and come with clear rubber stoppers to keep them in place.

Brown Derby
This piece of drusy jewelry is very special: first, the pendant is made of a brown drusy pendant that is set in silver and then surrounded by gemstones such as pale citrine, garnet, smoky quartz and peridot. A pretty faceted amethyst teardrop is set in sterling silver and hangs from the bottom of the drusy pendant. The rest of the necklace was built around this drusy pendant and consists of sterling silver beads from Bali and the Thai Karen Hill Tribes, smoky quartz, garnets, amethysts, peridot, and citrine in two gemstone strands. Special lampwork beads by James Derrick Reeves echo the colours of the gemstones. Garnet, smoky quartz, or amethyst earrings would look great with this necklace.

Noga
This agate necklace is made of some of the lovliest translucent grey agate that I've ever seen. I knew they should be with something special and remembered the drusy agate pendant set in sterling silver that I had. The drusy necklace includes special artist's lampwork beads and pretty sterling silver from the Thai Karen Hill Tribes. Five sterling silver charms of spirals (next to the special tube beads with spirals at the center of the necklace) and leaves are at intervals throughout the necklace. This drusy jewelry looks wonderfully striking on, and has to be seen to be appreciated. We have a pair of agate earrings that will look great with this necklace on our Agate Jewelrypage.

Dark Ice
These drusy earrings would look great with the bracelet "Skating on Thick Ice" above or equally well on their own. Dendrite opals in smooth ovals hang from plain sterling earwires and dangle drusies enclosed in Turkish sterling silver scalloped and beaded components. These earrings have good movement, and of course, sparkling drusies to add some sedate sparkle to your life.
