Lapis Jewelry
Lapis jewelry is timeless, classic, as much admired today as it was in the Ancient World. Lapis lazuli can be seen in the art and artifacts of ancient Sumer and Babylon as well as ancient Egypt. The very best lapis lazuli is intense blue with pyrite inclusions that glitter gold. The pyrite identifies the stone as genuine and unless it is overwhelming, it does not detract from the value of the lapis. The best lapis still comes from Afghanistan although lapis can be found in other parts of the world as well, including the USA.

Just Before Dawn
Beautiful smooth lapis nuggets form the basis of this lapis bracelet. The nuggets are a dark blue with a slight sprinkling of pyrite. Beautiful Bali sterling silver beads and accents have varied designs to create complexity and texture. And for a special splash of colour, borosilicate lampwork beads with a deep lapis blue are ignited with a deep, dusky peach colour. You'll love this colour mix. Sterling silver toggle clasp.

Blue Nostalgia
Double strand lapis bracelet has some of my favorite lapis stones: a large faceted rectangle as a focal, smooth lapis rondelles, and delightful faceted squares of lapis that have been drilled corner to corner. A mixture of Karen Hill Tribes and Bali sterling silver complements the lapis. Great to go with your other lapis jewelry.

Lainey is a lapis bracelet mixed with amethyst that would look great with our Porphyria necklace (at the top of this page) or just great on its own. The addition of two faceted garnets just add to the interest and complexity of the bracelet. Little charms of cabochon lapis lazuli and garnet hang at intervals around the bracelet. A sturdy sterling toggle is the closure.

A Glimpse of Heaven
A very simple lapis bracelet created with our favorite sharply faceted lapis nuggets and some of our favorite lampwork beads from Robin Weber. But don't let the simplicity fool you - the bracelet is a stunner with beautiful rich blue lapis and sterling silver. Wear this one alone or layered with another lapis bracelet or maybe just a strong silver chain. Nice chunky lapis bracelet.

Recife
Lapis bracelet mixes lovely genuine lapis with peachy-pink coral and a focal lampwork bead of the same intense lapis blue with little coral colour "bumps" on it. The sterling silver toggle clasp has two lapis cabochons bezel-set into the ends of the toggle bart. The lapis beads are smooth rondelles, large and small coins and faceted nuggets. This is the piece of lapis jewelry you've been looking for! All sterling silver.

Keep your lapis jewelry away from intense heat as it will discolour the stone and take away the glitter of the pyrite.
Night Moves
Lapis is the perfect foil for the lampwork beads of glass artist James Derrick Reeves in this lapis lazuli bracelet made also with sterling silver and rose quartz. A wavy oval lapis has glittering pyrite - and the small blue coins toward one side of the sterling silver toggle clasp are from Afghanistan. The rose quartz melon bead picks up the pink in the lampwork beads, and sterling silver flower charms and rose quartz bead charms add interest. Lapis jewelry has often included other elements and this bracelet keeps that tradition.
