Quartz crystal, or rock crystal as it is also known, is beautiful. I grew up in a place (Hot Springs, Arkansas) where you could find rock crystals in the backyard. Most of the time, the ones that were easily found were a whitish colour with bits of clear crystal glittering throughout. The best quartz or rock crystal is absolutely clear and flawless (very beautiful - and you cannot believe how large these crystals can be). Of course, the quartz that you see here didn't come from my backyard (and I no longer live in Hot Springs) and has been beautifully faceted and shaped - from the quartz points to the large nuggets. Quartz is also sometimes heat treated to make it different colours (see the aqua quartz bracelet below) and it is occasionally dyed though the heat-treated quartz has a prettier and truer colour. I love quartz crystals - and the larger and chunkier, the better!

Clearly Beautiful
These are rather unusal quartz crystal nuggets which have almost a pyramid shape to them. They are rather clear (though of course they do have some inclusions) and are wonderful with dark, silvery freshwater peacock pearls. A pretty silver heart clasp with rhinestones is the closure.
